Not sure about that being Chuck Ciprich but it definately looks like Dwayne Schrute helpint to refuel that sprint car! All the sideburns in these photo's make me laugh! I can't believe I didn't remember Mike Grbac racing the old purple King Chevrolet coach since I'm a Grbac fan but you're right. I know Mike's son Chris who races a dirt modified and is a heck of a nice guy. My brother and I were at the Daniel Boone race at Reading that fateful day that ended Mike's life. Here's a pic that I shot at Syracuse that I labled Chuck Ciprich in a ratty looking sprint car.

Here's Chuck with the Show-Car Engineering chassis that he had huge success with. I rode around Weedsport in this car on kiddies night when I was like eleven or twelve. Photo by Smith I believe.

And here's Al Golley at Waterloo with a car of almost identical design by Howard Conkey's Show-car engineering, Had extreme off-set engine with the driver moved to the right. By the way does anyone have a pic of the Corvair Bodied Rutledge Rocket...I'd love to see that car again! Pic by me in around 1977.

Here's a pic I took at Waterloo that day in 1977. This is Gary Iulg in the car I think he terrorized the locals at Woodhull with and won many races elsewhere on the DIRT circuit. Photo by me.

Here's Bentley Warren in the Super at Syracuse during his time-trial. I took it the same day I snapped the Ciprich sprinter pic. I believe they ran a double feature and Bentley won one of them and was second in the other to take the over-all honors. I think I have a shot I took from the grandstand in my collection and will post that as well.

Here's the shot showing Sprint vs Super day at Syracuse. From the grandstand so possibly beer induced as you could drink before twenty-one in those heidonistic seventies! Pic by me.

And since I caught a celeb in the form of Dwayne Schrute I thought I'd like to show other photos where celebs happened to get caught enjoying the races. Here's a photo shot by my dad, Norm,  at Daytona International Speedway. It shows me on the left in my latest New York Dork kid in FLA fashion next to my Mom. But behind my MOM!.....who knew Rush Limbaugh was a big race fan!

Here you go Dale - look at that picture of the 17 again, and then look at this one.

hi Bob, Somehow the attached pic is Chuck Ciprich with his first Tube Frame car which I remember as handling very poorly but getting off the corners like a rocket. I assume you've got a Dave Kelly pic somewhere but clicked the wrong one. The Dave Kelly car I always associate with him was a Powder Blue with dark blue accent Mustang bodied car complete with Drag tires which would probably date around 1976. please try to post the other one, I'm interested to see if it's the same car. DALE Here's a Brian Stevens pic at Waterloo in 1977 for all the Canadian fans.

Continuing with the photos I shot at Waterloo in 1977, here's one of Larry Radney. I'm not sure where he was from but he raced with us in central NY for a couple seasons and then we didn't see him anymore. Speaking of somebody who came and went does anybody have a shot of Fran Bonne's E-1 profile car. We were talking about that car down at the race shop the other day and I'd love to see a picture of it.
