Without trying to sound too dumb here Im new to all this I'm trying to figure out why when in neutral on my falcon transmission my rear wheels won't spin?

My car is jacked up in the air right now because I've been working on other parts of it but I guess there is an outside chance the car is in low gear hard to tell without getting in
