Cars of every shape, size, and color will mark the opening of on-track action at Watkins Glen International and the International Motor Racing Research Center.

Friday at 9:30 AM the green flag flies on the 10th Annual Toyota Green Grand Prix, showcasing the design and construction skills of our newest generation of automotive engineers. Students of high school age and beyond will showcase their creations in a variety of on-track and street rally events, including the Doris Bovee Memorial Road Rally. Admission to Watkins Glen International for the Toyota Green Grand Prix is free for all ages, and the forecast promises "Chamber of Commerce" weather. For more info log on to www.greengrandprix.com .

Saturday the storied road course continues its dedication to the community as W.G.I. opens their doors to the rare opportunity to drive your street car in the same tire tracks once raced by legends like Sir Jackie Stewart, Mario Andretti, and Dale Earnhardt. A $25 donation per vehicle will benefit Autism Speaks in their never-ending quest to defeat the condition that touches millions of race fans and their families. More information can be found at www.TheGlen.com.

Plan on Saturday being a full day of entertainment as the International Motor Racing Research Center presents the first ever Model Car Exhibit and Conversation, with the Center open all day and hundreds of model cars of various scales and genres on display, and a panel discussion about model car collecting will begin at 1:00 PM. As always, admission to the Center is free. For more information, log on to www.racingarchives.org.
