I'm sure if we approached the track promotors with a plan on where they will have good car counts they will try to make it work... We would need support from some sponsors maybe idk... Keep the ideas coming

As someone mentioned above, RoC has a dirt Street Stock tour and has been struggling to get full fields for the past few seasons. Car counts in the class are down across the board in this part (FMP, PC, Skyline, Thunder and I-88) of the Southern Tier. Maybe things are a little better out west. As far as the Yates County race, that's a one time deal with one promoter doing the work for one race, a big task no doubt, but not as big as a tour. There's also the issue of scheduling races, Street Stock drivers tend to work during the week so traveling three or four hours for a race may be out of the question for many of the drivers for mid week shows. That leaves the weekends and now you have to get promoters to give the Street Stocks the night off for the tour. One night maybe doable, but if you're talking about a six to ten race tour, the class will need anywhere from two to five nights off during the year.

It's not an impossible task. The Asphalt guys have their Big Ten series which seems to be working quite well, so it is possible. Maybe you could consider a sort of RoC West series where  Freedom, Raceway 5 and Canandaigua run a series with a separate point fund while the RoC East runs their current schedule and point fund. The series could conclude with two big year end races, Yates County's 100 lapper and a race at one of Five Mile Point's year end shows.

I would think racing between Freedom, Yates County, Woodhull, and Raceway 5 geographically wouldn't make for to much excessive travel times, only reason why I would leave CMP out is because what they are running there for street stocks are way outside of what the other tracks rule as street stocks.(A 360 late model chassis with a 3 link on your choice of big block or Super latemodel tires) is a little outside of the other tracks rules, and our street stock rules wouldn't be allowed to run against thier pure stock, they have tightened up tech this year with pre-inspected motors or tear downs cause of rampant cheating in the past.

I would be all for a tour. I also agree with RTC56 on the CMP rules.

Isn't this exactly what the ROC tour is?

ROC doesn't go to Woodhull, Freedom, or Raceway 5.....looking for a series for cars out this way, doesn't have to be real complicated, im sure u could get some decent interest from teams between these tracks......and the tracks could benefit also.....JMO

We had one back in the mid 00's.... Ran for a couple seasons then folded up. Can't say it wasn't successful as they usually pulled 50+ cars.

these rules are some what in place at raceway5,freedom,and yates county. if woodhull and little valley would go to these rules i think we could make something happen with a small traveling series.

I don't think Woodhull would change its rules. They cater to the drivers that race there every week, not series that come once in awhile. They have always done it that way.

only 2 rules i see that would keep raceway 5 , freedom and yates  cars from running at little valley and woodhull they are crossover headers and bert or falcon trannys. i wish  these two tracks would come up with a way to make these rules legal. (maybe weight difference)  i also think they would get more cars if they where to make these small changes .

Just to clarify a couple of things on these rules that I put together for the Empire 100 and that were posted here by Dan, At this time these rules have "not yet" been adopted by the ROC or Yate County Speedway for 2015 as far as I know. Walt great job on these rules .ridecar if what you are saying is true that would make freedom and raceway 5 cars legal for yates county. if only little valley and woodhull could come up with a way to make raceway5 and freedom cars legal we could get together and have a small series with all 5 . I do not know who to talk to about this but i am willing to help out with getting something together .
