$1000 to Win Bellinger Electric Lightning Sportsman Series Round Three on Friday August 19 at Freedom Motorsports Park

Delevan, NY- The third of three Bellinger Electric Lightning Sportsman Series events comes to Freedom Motorsports Park on Friday August 19. The 40 lap contest will pay $1000 to win and $100 to start as the Sportsman Modifieds complete the highly anticipated finale of the series. Joining the Tidds Towing Sportsman Modifieds on Bellinger Electric Night are the Wilson Crane Service RUSH Late Models, Pioneer Ford Street Stocks and the Danny Heineman & Sons Mini Stocks.

Freedom rained out for the third week in a row last Friday. Therefore, there will be numerous changes to the schedule, starting with the August 26 show, which will now be Danny Heineman & Sons Autograph Night at the races. The races will begin 15 minutes early at 7:15 on the 26th to allow more time for the fans to spend time with the drivers at intermission.

After the King of the Hill special on September 2, September 9 closes out the regular season and will now be Marcos Pizza Championship night presented by Sunoco. The 600 Micro Sprints will be added to the card and will complete their run towards a special $1500 point fund.  This will also allow out of town Micro Sprint drivers who will be competing in the Sprint to the Cure Breast Cancer Charity event on September 10 an opportunity to race two nights in a row.

The Bellinger Electric Lightning Series was created by Brian Bellinger, driver of the 7B Sportsman Modified and long time dirt racer. Since 1985, Bellinger Electric has provided superior electrical service throughout Western New York. Located at 12134 Vaughn Street in East Concord, their highly trained staff of professionals use their experience to provide innovative and economical solutions. Bellinger Electric can assist you in all aspects of your project, from design and conception, through construction and finish. Whether its new construction, remodeling, maintenance, or commercial work, you can count on Bellinger Electric to meet all of your electrical needs.

There will be lap money available in the Sportsman 40 lapper.  Laps are available for $10. The money will be awarded randomly each lap to a driver running in the top 10. A $100 to win Dash for Cash, $50 Ricks Delivery Fast Time Award and Bellinger Electric Hard Charger Award are among the other prizes available.

The Bellinger Electric Lightning Sportsman Series has its own point fund.   The current point leader is Brad Rouse of St. Catherines, Ontario who has finished second in the first two races. Opening round winner Cody McPherson is  second and round two victor Kyle Inman is  third. Adam Ashcroft and Brian Bellinger complete the top five. The Bellinger Electric Lightning Sportsman Series uses the same point structure as Freedom so the three race championship is up for grabs. A large field of cars is expected for the August 19 show.  Twenty Sportsman Modifieds started round two on July 22.

Come out and experience the “Thrill on the Hill” at Freedom Motorsports Park, the areas fastest racetrack. Grandstands on August 19 open at 6:00 pm and racing starts at 7:30.  Adult grandstand admission is only $12, $11 for seniors, $6 for Students (9-15) and kids under 8 are admitted free.

Freedom Motorsports Park is located at 11099 Marble Springs Rd. in Delevan, N.Y., just south of Arcade.  For information on 2016 season sponsorship opportunities, contact Bob Reis at freedommotorsportspark@yahoo.com or 716-725-5464.
