Sunday at 1 pm would be a great solution but then again the residence probably knew that a race track is nearby.

I was at the meeting and there's nothing to worry about. The people complaining don't want the track shut down. The track has the support of the town board and they reaffirmed the ordinance that sporting events have until midnight. The town specifically had the speedway in mind when they wrote the law and used the term "sporting events".
