Due to an unfavorable forecast calling for rain and severe thunderstorms for Tuesday night, Woodhull Raceway promoters Ted and Brandi White have postponed the ‘Hustlin’ the High Banks 53’ presented by NAPA Auto Parts, Two Rivers Timber and Maple City Dodge to the scheduled rain date of Wednesday, August 23.

The move was announced by Woodhull management and Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series Fueled By VP officials jointly on Monday afternoon.

“We’ve been watching the forecast since late last week and it has only gotten worse,” Woodhull’s Ted White said. “We have been in a similar situation before with this event (last year), made the call early and allowed our fans and racers to change their time off from work.

“Wednesday looks like a beautiful day to race. We’re looking forward to it.”

All prices and times will remain the same. The event is headlined by a 53-lap STSS Modified main paying $5,300 to win, $1,000 for 10th and $400 to take the green flag plus GRIT Crate 602 Sportsman ($1,000 to win) and Mini-Stocks ($500 to win).

The event is Round No. 7 of the nine-race STSS Halmar North Region.

Pit gates open at 3 p.m. Wednesday with grandstand gates unlocked at 4 p.m. Hot laps begin at 6 p.m. and racing gets the green flag at 7 p.m.

Grandstand admission is $20. Seniors (ages 62 and up) and Students (ages 7-11) pay $10. Kids 6 and under FREE. Pit admission is $35, with no license required
