OSWEGO, NY – Speedway Safety Solutions is proud to announce the 2019 Track Safety Conference to be held on Saturday, March 30 inside the Oswego County Emergency Response Training Center in Oswego, NY.

The Track Safety Conference will consist of four classroom sessions with industry professionals and will conclude with a roundtable discussion featuring all four panelists.

Conference sign-in will begin at 8 a.m. with the first session slated to begin at 9 a.m. The day’s activities are scheduled to close by 5 p.m.

Featured panelists include Oswego Speedway Safety Director, Paul Conzone, veteran Safety Instructor, Andy Biron, New Jersey State Police Motorsports Board member, Warren Alston, and Speedway Safety Solutions founder, Mark Kapuscinski.

Conzone, who brings years of safety team experience to the table, will cover team leadership and management skills, discussing organizational items that could help improve any track safety team.

Biron, a seasoned track professional with experience in various types of motorsports, will present a session entitled, “Defeat the Seat.” This session will focus on how to properly and efficiently remove a driver from the racing seats of today, teaching all you need to know about racing seats and driver extrication.

Alston, who has worked events for Georgetown Speedway, the Short Track Super Series and the Indoor Auto Racing Championship, will provide a session on motorsports safety standards. Alston’s session will help explain what these standards mean and how to adopt them into your own safety team’s policies and procedures.

Kapuscinski, a member of the Oswego Speedway safety team since 2003, will conduct a session entitled, “The Professional Safety Team.” This session will tie the three previous discussions together and offer suggestions on how every team should conduct themselves to offer a professional product to the drivers and race fans they serve.

Following all four sessions, a roundtable discussion will take place. This discussion will be open to all topics and will allow for a question and answer period.

Oswego, NY- Speedway Safety Solutions Inc. is proud to announce details for the 2019 track safety conference, to be held in Oswego, New York. The 2019 edition of the conference will be held on Saturday March 30, 2019 at the Oswego County Emergency Response Training Center. The Oswego County ERTC is located just 2 minutes from the famed Oswego Speedway! Conference sign in will begin at 8am with the first session slated to begin at 9am. The conference will conclude at 5pm. The conference will consist of four classroom sessions and will conclude with a round table discussion.

Session one will be led by Paul Conzone of the Oswego Speedway. Paul is the director of safety for the Oswego Speedway and brings many years of service to the table. Paul will lead a classroom session that will discuss leadership and management skills that all speedway safety team leaders will want to attend. Paul will discuss the good and the bad of being a team leader and will discuss organizational items that could help improve your team! Everyone in attendance will develop their leadership skills and learn how to better organize their team.

Session two will be led by Andy “Sippy” Biron. Andy can be found at just about any race track in the Northeast and further! Andy is the director of safety at the Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park and has experience with more types of motorsports than you can count! Andy’s classroom session will be a must see for all motorsports teams and is sure to become a highly demanded class. “Defeat the seat” will be the title of Andy’s session and will focus on how to properly and efficiently remove a driver from the racing seats of today. Andy will teach you everything you need to know about racing seats and driver extrication!

Session three will be led by Warren Alston. You may know Warren from the Georgetown Speedway, the SSTS or even the indoor TQ midget series. Warren is a long time flagger and racing safety advocate. Warren is a member of the New Jersey State Police Motorsports Board and will be here to discuss motorsports safety standards and what they mean to us. Warren comes to us from a state that is very active in motorsports standards and he will help us determine what standards we should adopt and how to work them into our own policy and procedures.
 
Session four will be led by Mark Kapuscinski, owner and founder of Speedway Safety Solutions. Mark has been a member of the Oswego Speedway safety crew since the 2003 season and has put together a fine group of professionals at Speedway Safety Solutions. Mark’s session will be titled “The Professional Safety Team.” Whether your team is paid or volunteer, you act professional! This session will tie the previous three sessions together and will offer suggestions on how every team should conduct themselves to offer a professional product to the drivers and race fans that they serve!

The conference will conclude with a round table discussion with all four panelists. This session will be used for open discussion of any topic and will allow everyone in attendance their chance to ask any questions they may have. The 2019 track safety conference is sure to be a can’t miss event!

Dan Kapuscinski Motorsports Promotions - OSWEGO, NY (January 19, 2018) – Speedway Safety Solutions is an all-new service that is open to race track and series operators with the goal of helping to improve the knowledge and skills of speedway safety teams and to provide high quality on-track emergency response services where needed.

SSS Founder and lead instructor, Mark Kapuscinski, has assembled a team of experts with decades of track service experience.

“Speedway Safety Solutions is armed with some of the brightest minds in emergency track services throughout the country,” said Kapuscinski. “We’re hoping to be able to spread our team’s knowledge of track services and emergency response systems to other safety teams throughout the region with the overall goal of improving response times and the safety of all involved at motorsports events.”

In order to do this, Speedway Safety Solutions is prepared to offer high quality training courses for safety teams. From classroom tutorials to hand-on training, SSS can cover every need to help enhance a track or series safety squad.

“We have training programs built for everything from fire extinguishers to driver extrication,” said Kapuscinski. “With the experience our team has we take pride in being able to offer custom classes for our customers to assist them in whatever area they see fit.”

Recently SSS acquired a 2003 Bicknell racing chassis which they have retrofit to be used for driver extrication classes.

While Speedway Safety Solutions is armed to provide expert training, they are also available to help fill out an existing safety team for large event needs.

The Oswego Speedway Track Safety Crew and Speedway Safety Solutions Inc. are teaming up to host a safety crew training day on May 5, 2018 at 10am.  The event will be held at the Oswego Speedway and cover topics such as driver extrication, extrication tool usage, fire extinguisher usage and more!  The cost is $75/person.  Anyone interested in attending can register for the class by contacting Paul Conzone (paulconzone@gmail.com) or Mark Kapuscinski (info@speedwaysafetysolutionsinc.com).
