(Pulaski, PA)…The Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Racing Series powered by Pace Performance is proud to welcome Wehrs Machine & Racing Parts as a new major marketing partner for the 2019 season. Wehrs will present the "Battle of the Bay" Speedweek for the RUSH Late Model Touring Series, and will also be a major contributor at "Manufacturers Nights" presented by MSD Performance in 2019.
The "Battle of the Bay" presented by Wehrs Machine & Racing Products will kick-off the 2019 RUSH Late Model Touring Series for the second straight year. After a wildly successful debut in 2018 with 40 or more cars every night, this year's four-race Mid-Atlantic Speedweek on April 17-20 has seen a purse increase for every night led by the $4,000 to-win "Raelyn Huffman Memorial" at Delaware International Speedway followed by $3,000 to-win events at Georgetown, Potomac, and Winchester Speedways. Wehrs will make possible the $3,000 Speedweek point fund that pays $1,000 to the champion and paying down 10 positions to RUSH member racers.
In addition to presenting the "Battle of the Bay", Wehrs Machine & Racing Products will also be a major contributor to the Series' "Manufacturers Nights". Wehrs will contribute six $300 product packages that will be dispersed throughout the various nights to lucky racers.

Located in Bangor, WI, Wehrs Machine & Racing Products is a company that was founded by Chad Wehrs love of creating parts out of metal. At 12 years old, Chad began welding things together, which developed an extreme need to build cool parts for anything he could imagine. For the next seven years, Chad built as many things as he could with what he had working on race cars and in the body shop.
While going to his local technical college, his Father agreed that if he cleaned up the old run down building where Wehrs Chevrolet started in 1935 that he could start his own business there. So in June of 1997, Chad started Wehrs Machine in the same building where his grandpa and his brother started the Chevy garage in 1935. Twenty-two years later Wehrs Machine & Racing Products is still going strong, making the finest racing products in the World!
