RACE OF CHAMPIONS SEASON CELEBRATION SET, WITH “ROC-APALOOZA” TO END 2017
AND KICK OFF THE 2018 RACE OF CHAMPIONS SEASON

Mount Morris, New York – (October 17, 2017) – Last season the Race of Champions family of Series will gathered at the Genesee River Restaurant & Reception Center in Mount Morris, New York for a spectacular evening of awards and representing the 2016 season. This year on Saturday, January 13, the Race of Champions will once again gather in Mount Morris, this time, to celebrate the 2017 season and kick of the 2018 season. Mike Leaty of Ontario, N.Y., Tim Gullo of Elmira, N.Y., Tommy Catalano of Ontario, N.Y., in two divisions (Sportsman Modified and Late Model) and Chad Chevalier of Port Colborne, Ontario will be honored as division champions, while several others will receive special recognition in addition to recognizing the accomplishments of all for an entire season of passion and dedication as well as looking ahead to 2018.
                “This will be a great night for everyone involved in the Race of Champions programs throughout the year,” stated Joe Skotnicki with the Race of Champions. “This is an event we are looking forward to. This is a great opportunity to honor and recognize our champions, as well as recognize everyone for the hard work and passion they share toward our great sport. It will be a special evening and a great way to kick off a new year filled with anticipation and excitement.”
                The reception will begin at 6:00 pm, with dinner and awards at 7:00 pm, along with a DJ for dancing and post-dinner entertainment. The Genesee River Restaurant & Reception Center is located at 134 North Main Street, Mount Morris, NY 14510.
                Tickets for the event will be $45 and the deadline to purchase tickets is January 6, 2018. Inquiries in regard to tickets may be made by e-mailing media@rocmodifiedseries.com. The celebration will be open to all ages.
                Hotel accommodations can be acquired at the Country Inn & Suites, 130 North Main Street, Route 36, Mount Morris, NY 14510. Rooms are available within the Race of Champions room block at a special rate of $100.00 per night when you mention the “Race of Champions 2016 Season Celebration.”
 
The Race of Champions is a sanctioning body presenting Modified and Stock Car racing on asphalt and dirt surfaces throughout the Northeast, with events in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The 68th annual Race of Champions weekend will take place in 2018 and is the second longest consecutive auto-racing event in North America, second only to the Indianapolis 500.
