LAMB AND WEBSTER SET TO SPONSOR THE LUCAS OIL PRO PULLING LEAGUE STOP AT THE WOODHULL RACEWAY ON FRIDAY, JULY 26, 2013

(Woodhull, NY)  For the third consecutive year Woodhull Raceway owner, Ted White will team up with Lamb and Webster of Woodhull, NY to present the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League at the historic Steuben County facility.

The 2011 event marked the first time in over a decade and a half that the ground pounding pulling tractors and two wheel drive trucks made an appearance at Woodhull and to put it mildly, the event was an overwhelming success.

Representatives of both Lamb and Webster along with management team of the Woodhull Raceway immediately went to work on making the 2012 event even a more successful engagement.  Mother Nature stood in the way of the originally scheduled Sunday afternoon July event, however a month later the show was made up on a Friday night and to put it mildly the event was a huge success prompting representatives of both organizations to schedule to 2K13 pull under the lights on Friday night, July 26.

“The staff of Lamb and Webster are second to none stated track owner, Ted White.  Whenever we get jammed up with an equipment or parts issue at the track we can always count on L & W to help out.  We have a tremendous relationship with them and it is a perfect fit having Lamb and Webster involved with the Truck and Tractor Pull.  The last year’s they provided all the manpower and equipment to completely build and maintain the pulling surface and they did it from scratch just hours prior to the start time.  In addition the Lucas Pulling League is top notch, a professionally run operation.  They come in here and put on a tremendous show for the fans.”

Gates for the Friday, July 26 event will open at 5:30 pm with the first pull going off at approximately 7:00 pm.

Racing Discussion / The Entertainer

To you the entertainer (racing),
You may be the best or you may be the worst
You may have a good night or maybe a bad night
You may finish the race or maybe not
You have a good night or a bad night
You may be cheered or may be booed
You may scrimp and scrap or may be flush with money
You may be early or may be late to the races
You may race in a full field of cars or a small field
You may race in the premier class or the “support” class at your track
Your car may be flashy or it may be drab
You may have lots of helpers or you may be on your own.
You may race on dirt or maybe asphalt, concrete, water, snow, or the air or anything
You may be male or female or something other.
On and on.
To me you are great and provide me with a night or day full of joy and entertainment.
I pray for you to have a good night or day but mostly to be safe and come back next time and do it again.

Off Topic Discussion / BLASTS RIP BOSTON MARATHON
« on: April 15, 2013, 04:11:57 PM »

DEVELOPING: At least three people are dead and dozens injured - including up to 10 with amputated limbs - after two explosions rocked the area near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

The simultaneous explosions, and reports of at least one other unexploded device found near the scene - raised suspicions that the explosions, just before 3 p.m., could be terrorist attacks. Competitors and race organizers were crying as they fled the bloody chaos, while some witnesses reported seeing victims with lost limbs.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

To all of you racers out there. (farthest i ever got was racing go-karts). We as fans would like to know - Let this be your Christmas gift to us.
What does it feels like to be a racer?
What does it mean to you?
How do you feel when you are on the track and off waiting to race again?
Tell us so we can imagine it as if we are racing ourselves.
