Ransomville Speedway Releases 2018 Schedule

RANSOMVILLE, NY… (January 31, 2018) The 61st season of racing at the Ransomville Speedway is soon upon us and the Big R has big plans for the 2018 campaign. With the season opener just three months away, the Friday night race schedule is jammed packed with everything that the best race fans in the Northeast would want to see.

Ransomville Speedway is only one of a handful of tracks in the Northeast that will be hosting all three major touring series in 2018, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Cars, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Models, and the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series.  For the first time since 2006, the “Badest Late Models on the Planet”, the World of Outlaw Craftsman Late Models will invade Ransomville on Friday, June 15. The 358 Modifieds and Sportsman will also be on the card. For the second straight season, “The Greatest Show on Dirt” will be at the Big R on Friday, July 27 and will be joined in competition by the Investors Service Sportsman and Fireworks! The Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series will once again be in action for the annual Summer Nationals on Tuesday, August 7plus the Sportsman and Street Stocks.

An announcement will be announced in the coming weeks regarding ticket purchases for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Models and World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Cars events.

The Patriot Sprint Tour will once again be at Ransomville for their annual visit on Friday, June 1. The Sportsman Super DIRTcar Series will once again start their Niagara Region swing with a stop at the Big R on Friday, September 7. The Sportsman SDS race will be the Sportsman King of the Hill 50 with lap money. The BEI Lightning Series for Sportsman will make their inaugural trip to Ransomville on Friday, September 14. The PA Vintage Modifieds will make their first trip to Ransomville on Friday, August 3 along with a Sportsman/Novice Shootout. Fans of the demolition derbys are excited about Friday, August 31 as we will be having a demolition derby on that night.

The Krown Undercoating Modifieds will be having a couple of big-money shows throughout the season. A $2,000 to win event will take place on Friday, May 25. The Sid Jeffery Memorial will be a Modified event and will take place on Friday, August 17. The KiPo Chevrolet Street Stocks will once again have their 100 lap special on Friday, September 14 for the running of the King of the Hill.Plans are still in the works for the John Susice Memorial for the Street Stocks, which will take place on Friday, July 13. 

The cars will hit the new surface at the Big R on Friday, April 27 for Test, Tune, and Time presented by VP Racing Fuels. The rain date for Test, Tune, and Time will be on Wednesday, May 2. The 61st season opener will take place on Friday, May 4 as VP Racing Small Engine Fuels presents the season lid-lifter for all divisions, featuring the Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds, Investors Service Sportsman, KiPo Chevrolet Street Stocks, Gippsters Collision 4 Bangers and the Stevenson’s Hardware Novice Sportsman.

Before the cars hit the track for the first time, they will be on display at the Motorsports Expo in Syracuse the weekend of March 10-11 and then the annual car show at the Fashion Outlets Niagara Falls USA the weekend of March 23-25 during mall hours. For the second season, the crowning of Miss Ransomville will be held at the car show on Saturday, March 24th. The timing for the crowning of Miss Ransomville will be released in the coming weeks with more events being planned for the Mall Show.
