Quote
The fact of the matter is, adverse drug reactions from drugs that are properly prescribed and properly administered cause about 106,000 deaths per year, making prescription drugs the fourth-leading cause of death in the United States. And more than 2 million others will suffer serious side effects. When you compare these statistics to the death toll from illegal drugs -- which is about 10,000 per year -- you can begin to see the magnitude of the problem the legally prescribed drugs versus recreationally used drugs, it is TEN times worse.

Seven years ago, my mother thought her memory was getting worse, and I guess it bothered her. She didn't say too much to me about it, but the next time she had a medical check up, she asked her doctor about these drugs that are supposed to slow the effects of Alheimer's disease. He suggested a "then new" drug called Reminyl. She started taking this drug, had a bad reaction to it, and wound up, essentially, having her memory pretty much wiped out. She's been in a nursing home ever since...

A few years ago I had svere health problems which led me to go to my physician along with three specialists, all giving me differant scrips. After a long down hill slide it was determined that I was so overmedicated I had to be admitted back into the hospital to get strightened out. I guess it worked, but I'm not what I used to be.

The more of these stories that get out there the better.  You'll never hear about this stuff in the main stream media, they'd never risk losing all the advertising dollars from the pharmaceutical industry.  I was getting kind of ticked off last night watching television when on almost every commercial break there was a spot for the 11:00 news with one of the anchors telling us all how important it is to get a flu shot.  What a complete crock of $#it!  Once again, the only interests they are serving are those of the big drug companies.
