HUGE ROC SPORTSMAN AMERICAN RACER CUP EVENT AT FIVE MILE POINT SPEEDWAY TO KICK OFF AMERICAN RACER CUP WEEKEND IN A BIG FASHION FRIDAY, OCT. 10TH AT FIVE MILE POINT SPEEDWAY.
KIRKWOOD, NY…The American Racer Cup Weekend designed for the “Weekly Racer” will take place Friday, October 10th and Saturday, October 11th at Five Mile Point Speedway. The race weekend is a culmination of the season long American Racer Cup program that took place at numerous northeast weekly venues. The Friday RoC Sportsman event is quickly shaping up to be a “must see” event of its own.
All Friday Sportsman teams will receive a free entry to compete on Saturday in the Modified 55 lap event. That race pays $5,500 to win and a whopping $500 just to take the green. Several teams have indicated they are going to race both days.
The 30 lap Friday feature event will pit the top northeast Sportsman teams in a RoC Tour event. The race pays $2,000 to win and $125 to take the green. The leader at the halfway point of the 30 lapper will earn a $100 bonus courtesy of the online Facebook page and race results leader "Riding the Cushion". The American Racer Cup Champions Dash is a 15 lap affair that will pay $1,000 to the race winner. Each participant will receive a free American Racer Tire.
Crate bonuses will also be up for grabs on Friday Crate bonuses to the top finishers across the line as follows – 1st: $125 – 2nd: $100 – 3rd: $75 – 4th: $50 – 5th: $25. The 602 Crate teams are always very competitive on the racy quarter mile oval. The top finishing Penn Can Speedway Sportsman track regular across the line will also earn a $50 bonus.
The RoC Sportsman 30 lap feature winner on Friday will earn a Guaranteed Starting Spot to the RoC 100 Tour Finale for Sportsman on Friday, October 31st at Five Mile Point Speedway. That race pays $2,555 to win. The top Sportsman 602 Crate finisher will earn a Guaranteed Starting Spot in the GRIT Series Tour Finale at Five Mile Point Speedway on November 1st.
The northeast’s top Sportsman teams are going to converge on Five Mile Point Speedway on Friday, October 10th for the Race of Champions American Racer Cup. A big field of the top talent in racing will be on hand for this great start to the traditional race weekend at Five Mile Point Speedway. Drivers from CT, NY, NJ and Pennsylvania have already entered in the event.
Friday racing will also see the IMCA Modified Empire State Series in competition. That race will pay $400 to win, $150 for 10th and $100 to take the green flag. The Factory Stocks will race in a special event paying $150 to win and the Excel 600 c.c. Modifieds will also be in competition.
