Jason Knowles Looking For Little Valley Championship
   …2012 Season Finale On Saturday…

Little Valley, NY…Jason Knowles won the most recent 360 late model race at Little Valley Speedway (LVS) and he hopes to repeat on Saturday September 15 when the Speedway hosts its final event of the 2012 racing season.

Knowles’ August 29 win on World of Outlaws night propelled him into the point lead for the first time in his career at LVS.  The race win was his first at this track and now he wants to add the championship to his list of firsts.

The short LVS special only format was abbreviated from six events to five events when the July 3 show was rained out.  The four 360 late model events completed to date have produced four different winners.  Dusty Waters won the season opener in May, Dusty’s brother John won in June, Bruce Miller won the Brock Young Memorial in July, and last month Jason Knowles was victorious.

Saturday night’s race for the 360 late models is the ISKY Cams Championship which pays the winner $1500.  The money is good, but also important are the points for both the LVS championship chase and the Bicknell Racing Products (BRP) CanAm Series championship. The Series championship will be settled between Bruce Miller and John Waters.  The track championship could go to any of the top ten drivers.

The LVS point schedule of 30 points for a win, 28 for second and one point decrements to last make it possible for any of the top ten drivers to earn the 2012 360 late model championship.

Little Valley Speedway 360 Late Model points (top 10):  1. Jason Knowles – 104, 2. Mikey Wonderling – 96, 3. Jim Johnson – 94, 4t. John Waters – 92, 4t. Mike Wonderling – 92, 6. Jeremy Wonderling 91, 7t. Dave DuBois – 79, 7t. Steve Watson – 79, 9. Bob Close – 77, 10. Bruce Miller - 76

Little Valley Speedway gates will open at 3:00 on Saturday for a 6:30 start.  Track championships are on the line for the super late models, 360 late models, and street stocks.  In addition the 358 Dirtcar modifieds make their once a year annual appearance.
