Racing Discussion / Josh Nobriga will drive BRP # 45 at Woodhull 2010
« on: December 22, 2009, 08:10:11 AM »
Here is the email we are starting to send individually ;D to drivers:
We never realized how much talent there is in the racing community until we decided to look for a driver this winter. We made a decision on Sunday night, December 20, that Josh Nobriga will be driving our BRP 360 Late Model at Woodhull for the 2010 season. Josh emailed us at the email address posted on RaceNY and then stopped here several times for discussions. Josh lives close to our general area, we know his driving style from watching his class race at Woodhull in 2009, we have enjoyed the discussions he’s already had with us, and he has treated sponsors with appreciation.
Throughout this, we have worked hard to treat everyone with respect – every person – every time. Part of that respect is making sure that you know as soon as possible. We’ve met so many delightful people that some of them have changed from just racing acquaintances to real friends from this time on. We hope you make a point of seeing us at the race track, car shows, or elsewhere to tell us about fun times you already had or dreams you still want to do in the future.
Thank you.
Sparky and Fran
P.S. We are excited about 2010. We hope that fans who cheered for Josh’s driving and Sparky’s car separately will cheer for both as they join together in 2010.

Old guy and Maweenie - you guys are too funny.
You forgot my scream when I unloaded the race car that fast.
If I took Sparky's car out onto the track, the screaming would upset the other drivers. (Maybe some of the screaming might be theirs).
The next week there was a crowd around our trailer and one guy wouldn't go for coffee so he could watch again.
Sparky also said I'm the only one he knows who can dent the front of a regular car going backwards. Yeah, that's something to ask us about some time.
Todd, we always enjoy reading what you say on RaceNY or Gater Racing News. It's not just that we find out new information - you are fun to read. Thanks for the kind words.
Special note to the old guy - anyone as young in heart and soul as you will never be old.
We enjoy all of you.
Remember to keep cheering for our car out on the track even when there is another driver in it because you know we are still driving it inside our hearts.
Special note from Fran (Mrs. Sparky)

We've seen you do a skillful job of set-ups on some nights that other people struggled.
Also, thank you for saying "a driver will drive any thing any where dirt or hard top." We did have people responding to us that were flexible about driving dirt or blacktop, either one. We are treating everyone with respect and are continuing to answer to the responses.
We clicked an attaboy on your profile for that one.

Racing Discussion / Re: Driver Wanted for BRP # 45 at Woodhull or Dundee

We love the racers at Woodhull. We love the racers at Dundee.
We have had good conversations with Dean Hoag at Dundee, and we look forward to beginning good conversations with new management at Woodhull.
We also had good times with Gary Montgomery on the road in the BRP circuit.
Dundee is an hour away, whereas Woodhull is almost in our back yard.
Obviously, the home location of any driver will be one of the factors.
It's always good when there are several good tracks within an hour's driving distance. We will be talking with you on the phone.

Thank you to everyone who sent an email to the DirtOvalDW ad. We are still continuing to accept more responses. We have answered about 80% of the responders already, are continuing to answer more responses, and have treated everyone in a way that is respectful. Racing has the very best people in the world. We are meeting some awesome people. We are grateful to be part of the racing community.
Thank you again.
