Victor, NY…Auto racing lost a great friend on Wednesday (Feb 13) when Bill Turner lost his long and courageous battle with a rare lymphoma.
Bill and his Victor buddies attended stock car races from Daytona to Drummondville and most tracks in between, but always back to Canandaigua Speedway on Saturday night. Through his business, Turner Automotive (aka Turner Corvettes), Bill sponsored race teams and race events for the past 40+ years. He truly loved the sport and those involved.
Bill is survived by his wife Donna, daughter Laura (Krossher), son Thomas, sister Mary Ann, brother Al, Corvette enthusiasts world-wide, and hundreds of friends from the auto racing community.
A celebration of Bill’s life will place in Victor on Tuesday (Feb 19) at the Lucey - VanVoorhis Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Wilmot Cancer Center PO Box 704, Rochester, NY 14642
