Racing Discussion / Re: Lancaster live today

It is the week of the Lake Erie R.o.C. so some cars might be prepping/saving for that race.
The #3 Late Model was Matt Bove and the Weber back-up #11x Late Model was Mark Mecurio.
There were 26 Street Stocks in the pits. 3 heats or 4..... Their call. I didn't have a problem with 4 heats.

There were 25 Modifieds last year with 23 starting the feature. If you want to know the least amount of Modifieds at the U.S. Open...... 21 cars in 2011 might be the lowest. Researching it to find out for sure might be a good project for you since you want to know. Only 27 more years to find. Have fun.

The press release about Saturday's results was on the Evergreen site last night.

Zach Myers #17 won the Super Stock 50 event over Daniel Majchrzak #14 and Andy Cryan #63 in a 17 car field. Track champion Dave Krawczyk #11 and T.J. Cochrane #76 came together early in the event and about 7 cars piled in quickly in the 4th turn with both the #11 and #76 out of the event. Bob Ripley #99 won the Vintage event in his Valiant Modified which included many of the same Late Models and the Truck from last week. The Legends events that was scheduled didn't run as I heard only 1 was in the pits.
Hirschman won the first heat instead of Ely. Ely surprised many as he got the jump on Hirschy from their front row starting spots and led most of the way in his first time at the track, but Matt got the win at the end.

Meahl sometimes shows up at Lancaster and Ransomville. He's pushing 90 at age 86, and he is definitely hard of hearing.

Bobby Hudson is in a long-term care facility, and is not in the best of health.
I believe that Danny Mason, Gary Mason and Dave Seils are still in the Rochester area. I don't know what they're doing though.

#54 won as the press release isn't right with #8 being DQ.

Chris Finocchario took home the first place money.

I'd say no with being on dirt early in his racing career on Florida and Ohio tracks.
I think he raced Syracuse too.
