Bearing Spacer for Wide Five Hubs?
« on: February 26, 2017, 04:10:10 PM »
Looking for opinions on whether "bearing spacers" are necessary for Wilwood and other Wide Five hubs used for Asphalt and/or Dirt Modifieds?

I can't seem to find any strong recommendations from the manufacturers that these are required but I'm interested to hear from those that have experience with or without using them.

Thanks,

never used them on a wide 5. But I have on a stock type front hub and 5 on 5 rear hub. I don't know if the performance advantage they claim is true but they make maintenance easier because once they are set you can take hub apart repack bearings and simply tighten nut until it stops. The original setting is a little time consuming. But I have used them a couple times
