Father's Day memories - my sons were race track brats
« on: June 15, 2018, 02:04:36 PM »
My two sons are now grown up but back a number of years ago they were race track brats. Instead of watching the racing they would play with the other kids behind the grandstands. They would go on the rides at Holland Speedway and collect the empty pop and beer cans. I think Freedom Raceway had a basketball net. They never got into any trouble. I would've rather the boys watch the races with me but I was happy they were having fun. Just some Father's Day memories for me.    :) :) :)

My brother and I were not allowed to do that, but I remember being allowed to go to the bathroom by myself at Weedsport (the old version) and they had an attendant, and the highlight of the night was tipping her, fried dough, and picking up tear offs (because you KNEW your favorite driver had that particular one on his helmet).

Happy Father's Day!
