Holland Late Models
« on: June 11, 2014, 11:05:32 PM »
Dave Heitzhaus , Bobby Weber, Troy Williams, and Ron Richter. Great names that once ran Late Models and came back. Are the Late Models dead or will they make a comeback?

♦  Heitzhaus was already dialed in and put much pressure (clean racing) on Whittaker.
♦  Weber was strong in warm-ups/heats but gearing sounded off in feature (rpm's were awfully high early to mid straight).
♦  I think Williams was just filling in for Glover.
♦  The addition of Batista was also exciting to see, very sharp looking car as well.
♦  Roberts was also a little off on set-up, but it was the first week out this season for the #70 (love the updated paint scheme).
♦  Hopefully Hathaway returns soon after a heavy hit coming out of 2 the first week.

♦  It would be cool if:  King III, Ticco, Crassi, Sands, Dolan, Johnson would return...

I wonder what happened to all the Late Models cars from Lancaster/Holland/Erie (are they still owned or have they all been sold): Pennell, Carbone, Skora, Bliss, Thomas, Gault, Wylie, Windnagle, Nurmi, Nurmi, Matuszak, Alix, Russell...
2018: Outlaw 1
2017: Outlaw 4, Woodhull, Ransomville 10, Eriez 3, Fulton 2, Canandaigua, Humberstone, Genesee, Freedom 2, Lancaster 11, Holland 3, Lake Erie 2, Wyoming 2, Watkins Glen

King III and Crassi are ? marks but the 43 will be back. Dave Russell would be a nice addition to Holland again. Manowar cannot forget Fiebs and Brown

All of the late model drivers went to sportsman/pro mods or just dropped out of racing.

I really enjoyed that late model race Saturday night.

Trank sold both cars, JD Roberts has one and I believe the 43 has the other one now.

Dolan's car is the old Carbone car - Bliss' old car is Eldon's car. Sands was for sale and I'm pretty sure it sold.

I know George Skora sold his this winter and Scott Wylie too.

Scott Skora, Dave Wilson and Fiebs cars were for sale but IDK if they have sold.
I'd rather be racin'...TC31

We still have the Late Model of Ben Reynolds 17R sitting on blocks in the shop. Tried to sell it but no takers. So I put it in storage. Last month I got the paper work from the DMV to turn it into a street legal road car. Should be a fun winter project over the next years.

Don Reynolds.

For HD1 we will still not have a 500 CFM  carb on it. Lol

My interest in Late Models went south when they replace steel bodied Late Models you could identify with Fiberglass bodies that are very ugly and unrecognizable.  I think a lot of others feel the same way.
