We have had a huge amount of interest on this Friday and Saturday at Five Mile Point Speedway for the American Racer Cup Weekend. Phones have been extremely busy on Monday. We are going to host an open testing session this Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the speedway for our local teams.
This is just an opportunity for the teams and track crews to have an extra rehearsal prior to the big upcoming Friday and Saturday weekend. The last event run at the speedway was back on August 30th so many of the local teams are anxious to get back on the quarter mile oval.
We have so many teams looking to participate in the paid practice on Friday we want to give some of the area teams a chance to get on the track prior. Our goal is that it will give the Friday out of town teams more time on the track as well on Friday.
Pit gates will open at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday with testing taking place between 6 and 8 p.m. We will park haulers in the lower (turn 4 pit area on Wednesday). The cost to enter the pit area is $20. Fans are welcome to watch from the grandstand area for free. The testing is open to any of the divisions running this weekend at the speedway.
