It wasn't a Modified class driver in 1988.

Vince was supposed to have a ride for the 2006 Oswego Race of Champions weekend though. It wasn't him though.

Not sure if you are asking this question but the Golden 72 was driven by Ed Connoran. This car was a team car to the Golden 71......;-).

#70 car -> Another easy one ... Jack Steenburg.

In fact, in my earlier post I was going to say that the blue #73 looked like a Steenburg hand-me-down, while I'm pretty sure the red/black one was Jim Zach's car from around the 1972 season.

actually the blue 73 was not a hand-me-down. the car steenburg drove was built by my father, grandfather, and steenburg. they were originally going to share seat time but that never happened so they built another that my father drove. the one pictured above. the ORANGE and black one i'm not sure about but i will find out and post.

the blue 73 and the 70 car were the same year and make but 2 different cars. both built from scratch. the orange and black 73 was not a former jim zach. car. it was built by my father at zach's garage, from the frame up. the body came from lantz's junkyard. it was an early 60's buick skylark. they weren't exactly teammates, but they were all friends and helped each other out

It's possibly Ron Hartzell of PA. It wasn't a Cal Smales #41 ride.

It's a Dodge Colt.Ed Cloce used one also to replace the Hemi-Cuda, and was known as the Hemi-Colt,which was not as successful or famous.

I don't know why I didn't post this before.... Isn't Ron related to Donnie Hartzell who races Modified #27 currently at Mountain?

1971...Who was the primary sponsor of Geoff Bodines #99 and what was unique about the cars rear suspension? I believe the photo is by Furgeson bought by me at the photo stand.
